The Flinders University Baseball Club was formed in the first few weeks of the University term in 1966  when Flinders University first opened. A small group of students gathered together to discuss the possibility of forming a baseball club on campus.

Since then Flinders University Baseball Club has fielded teams every year in multiple competitions for baseball and softball as well as sending teams to represent at the University Games/Championships (originally called Intervarsity)

Currently teams are field in the Baseball competitions in metropolitan Adelaide during the Summer and Winter seasons.

The diamond for the club is based on the playing fields of Flinders University at Bedford Park.
