Summer Baseball
Flinders University Baseball Club originally entered teams into the South Australian Baseball League when the club was first formed in 1966, at that time this competition was played through the winter months. Teams were originally entered in Minor C and then Minor E.
With the move of the South Australian Baseball League to the summer months a few years later the club accordingly switched its teams to the newly formed South Australian Winter Baseball League in 1968 as it better aligned with the academic year of the university. In the mid 1990s there was interest in entering summer baseball teams and ever since Flinders University has entered 1 or 2 teams from Division 5 to Division 7.
The Summer Baseball season begins in October with finals completed by March. Games are played on Saturdays in a home and away format with home games for Flinders University Baseball Club played at the diamond at the playing fields of Flinders University at Bedford Park.
Summer Baseball normally has 1 or 2 teams entered.
